The Mountain Music Shoppe was established in late 1996. Located in Shawnee, one of Kansas's earliest settlements and a stop on the historic Santa Fe Trail, is a music shop dedicated to Old-Time, Bluegrass, and Vintage Musical instruments and accessories.  Proprietor Jim Curley, a nationally recognized dulcimer player, caters to music lovers that demand high-quality instruments at reasonable prices.
